چکیده
Sawdust and coconut coir dust are agro-wastes/by-products which suitable for use as raw materials to manufacture unfired clay blocks due their excellent physical mechanical properties. A limited number of studies have been conducted on the utilisation these agro-wastes in block production, they mostly devoted investigating physicomechanical properties, with less attention given thermal Moreover, majority used chemical binders (cement lime) combination agro-waste, thus increasing carbon footprint embodied energy samples. Furthermore, no research has performed performance when incorporated into at wall scale. Therefore, address limitations, present study developed incorporating sawdust (0, 2.5, 5, 7.5% by weight), without binders, evaluated performance, both individual scales. The experiments were divided two phases. In first phase, sample was tested basic Based results small walls dimensions 310 mm × 215 100 built second using best performing mixture from each waste type, assessed an adapted hot box method. measuring heat transfer rate cold environments comparing reference wall. showed that conductivity decreased 0.36 W/mK sample, 0.19 0.21 indicating improvement insulation. a resistance around 48% 35%, respectively, over Consequently, findings this will provide additional essential information help assessing prospective applications insulating material manufacturing blocks.

Effects of Application of Coconut Husk and Coir Dust on the Yield of Coconut
In recent years much attention has been focussed on the importance of moisture conservation practices in coconut lands, particularly in drier parts of the Coconut triangle. Experiments were conducted in mature coconut plantations, to study the effect of various methods of application of coconut husk and coir dust, in lateritic and sandly soils, on the yield of palms. The results revealed that t...
متن کاملSynthesis and Characterization of Cellulose Nanofibers From Coconut Coir Fibers
Cellulose nanofibers were isolated from coconut coir fibers by chemical treatment using alkaline, mineral acids and inorganic salts, followed by mechanical treatment and disintegration methods like sonication, cryo crushing and dissolution. The size and morphology of cellulose nanofibers were investigated by using the Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscope (FESEM). The width of synthesized...

-In present days, automobile industries are rapidly increased. All the automobile industries are in the process of supplying the vehicles at low cost. The major cost of the automobile components is its body parts. As per the European Union and Asian countries automotive components end life is very important factor in the design of the automotive. So everybody is concentrating on new materials w...
متن کاملKinetic and calorimetric study of the adsorption of dyes on mesoporous activated carbon prepared from coconut coir dust.
Mesoporous activated carbon has been prepared from coconut coir dust as support for adsorption of some model dye molecules from aqueous solutions. The methylene blue (MB) and remazol yellow (RY) molecules were chosen for study of the adsorption capacity of cationic and anionic dyes onto prepared activated carbon. The adsorption kinetics was studied with the Lagergren first- and pseudo-second-or...
متن کاملCharacterization of Glass Fibre – Coconut Coir– Human Hair Hybrid Composites
A composite material is a combination of two or more materials arranged in the form of layer one on the other layer using binding material through some prescribed methods. In the Glass fibre coconut fibre human hair hybrid composite method, the epoxy resin is used as binding material, in which one layer is formed of glass fibre, followed by coconut fibre and then by human hair. By using hand la...
